About The Role
As we prepare for our busiest time of year, we are now looking for an experienced trainer and enthusiastic individual to join our Training Team as an Induction & Cashier Trainer, to train and develop our next generation of Cashiers.  
We pride ourselves on being committed to staff training and development, supporting our new recruits from day one through their induction, on-boarding and continued development. 
What you’ll be doing
This role is central to ensuring that our new hires are welcomed into the Company and are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.  As an Induction & Cashier Trainer you will; 
  • Deliver our company induction training programme, which blends classroom-based training covering organisational information, company procedures & best practice.
  • Run practical outdoor sessions on manual handling and the basic principles of punting
  • System based Cashier training on the company till system, Customer Service skills, Customer Experience, along with other soft skills training.  
  • Create a learning environment that caters effectively for different learning styles and encourages delegate involvement 
For most of our new hires this is their first experience of work, therefore welcoming them to the business and ensuring they are provided with continued support through coaching and constructive feedback is vital to their success and our culture.   It is very important that they feel welcomed, safe, supported and engaged through this process, so patience, empathy and a flexible approach are essential. 
What’s on offer?
  • 6 month Fixed Term contract 
  • Full time 40-hour week - start and finish times may vary
  • Will need to work 5 days out of 7, with the availability to work weekends and bank holidays 
  • Competitive rate of pay, dependant on skills and experience  
  • Based out our Cambridge City Centre location

  • A proven track record in skills training and coaching
  • A passion for history, knowledge sharing & developing others 
  • Effective interpersonal skills across all age ranges, including listening skills 
  • Effective planning and prioritisation skills, flexible approach and able to use own initiative 
  • Proven and pro-active team player 
 What would really help?
  • Experience of working in a customer-facing industry, such as hospitality, retail or tourism.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety best practice and application in the work place
