About The Role

Founded in 1910, Scudamore's is the premier punt river tour and boat hire company in Cambridge, dedicated to creating unforgettable memories for all our visitors.

As a Shift Supervisor at Scudamore's, your role will be both exciting and diverse. You will engage with customers from all around the world, oversee our punt station operations, and assist in managing our Cashiers and River Tour guides. Based at our picturesque locations by the river Cam in central Cambridge.

 

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Being a proactive role model for delivering superb customer service.
  • Ensuring your team consistently perform to the highest standards, creating an exceptional visitor experience.
  • Co-ordinating the seamless operation of our tours and self-hire services.
  • Providing coaching and support to a dynamic sales team.
  • Bringing the best out of your staff through flexible and fair performance management.

As a member of the management team, you will act as Duty Manager when the Manager or Assistant Manager are not present.

 
What's on offer?
  • A competitive remuneration package of up to £30,783 per annum - £27,783 plus bonus of up to £3,000 (pro rata for fixed-term employees).
  • Full-time positions available. 
  • Single-season and multi-year fixed-term contracts, with potential for extension.

Our core operating hours are from 08:30 – Dusk daily, so evening working is required at certain times of year.
